Greetings and welcome! Who am I? Artist, illustrator, sculpture, teacher, mother, and cat enthusiast. Currently living in the lovely town of Pardes Hannah Karkur, where I teach classes and workshops on paper-mâché, textile, and recycled media in my happy home studio. When I’m not teaching, I illustrate children’s books, sew, embroider, garden, and create constantly.
At the Karkur community center, I teach a lively group of pensioners how to create paper-mâché art. Every spring I open my studio to the public as a part of the Local Artist event. Together with six other women artists, I am a partner in the cooperative gallery Yetzira Mekomit (“Local Creations”) at the Zichron Ya’akov promenade, where you can view and purchase my artwork all year round.
Since the 80’s, I’ve illustrated over 250 children’s books and educational books for the Israeli and international markets. In 1997, I graduated from the Beit Berel College of Art and received a teaching diploma in art and puppetry.
To schedule a studio visit, book a workshop, or order custom-made artwork, you’re welcome to contact me through the Contact Form on the website or by email at contact@liatart.com.
