Step in through the glass doors and enter another world, a world of color and creation. Around the vast work table, brimming with brushes, paint pots, and craftsman’s tools, there is plenty of room for 6 participants to create, to express, to explore their imagination. Upon the shelves you will find countless art books, including books on paper-mâché, as well as literature and reference books on all forms of arts and crafts to help expand, enlighten, and inspire.
Long-term group classes are described under “paper-mâché art class” and are held throughout the year. You can join an existing class based on availability or request a new class for a minimum of 4 participants. The class includes various techniques for working with paper-mâché, cardboard, and more, in varying degrees of complexity with personal guidance for each participant. The group classes are small, with a maximum of 6 participants.
Specialty workshops are perfect for those of you who are always busy and are looking to treat yourself to a fun workshop during your holiday. They’re also great for friends looking for ways to celebrate their time together, or for visitors from abroad on vacation. Workshops are held for a minimum of 2 participants, and can be held in Hebrew or English.
The workshops are available by prior reservation, all year round on a variety of subjects, such as paper-mâché, puppet-making, Crazy art quilt, using recycled materials, and more.

Workshops are scheduled for 1.5 to 3 hours, and the cost is between 200-300 ILS per participant. The price always includes all materials.
We use 90% recycled material to make the paper-mâché artwork. The creations that you make in the studio are durable, sustainable, and “green”. We only use non-toxic water-based glues and paints, for our benefit as well as the benefit of Mother Nature.
You’re also warmly invited to visit the studio year-round (by reservation).

Long-term class that covers various techniques of paper-mâché, from preparing basic pulp from scratch with your own hands, to sculpting constructions from cardboard, wood, wire and mesh. We also give special attention to various methods and techniques for finishing and decorating the sculpture, such as drawing, painting, decoupage, and more.
This class allows each participant to enjoy a personalized learning experience at their own pace, while encouraging them to create original works of their own. Classes are small with a maximum of 6 participants.
Classes start in late October and end at the end of July. New participants may join the class during the year, depending on availability. The classes are held on Monday and Tuesday at 10:00-13:00. An additional evening class is held on Monday at 17:00-20:00.
Price is 150 ILS + VAT per participant per session. The price includes all materials – glue, acrylic paints & varnish, and a coffee & cookie break.
Participation in this class is currently recognized in Israel as further training for teachers on sabbatical.
In this workshop you will learn the most important aspect of paper-mâché – how to prepare the paper pulp and what a perfectly-made pulp feels like to the touch! In addition, you’ll learn some of the history and tradition of this wonderful material.
The workshop covers two basic methods – Creating paper-mâché artwork from pulp only, and constructing artwork from pulp on top of a sphere-shaped construction from scratch. The second method might be substituted with another method, or with finishing techniques, by request.
The workshop can be scheduled to be 1.5 to 3 hours long by request, and includes a coffee break and light refreshments. The workshop requires a minimum of 2 participants. The duration is flexible and can be shortened for younger participants, as long as the minimum length is 1.5 hours.
Price is 200 ILS including VAT per participant for 1.5 hours, or 300 ILS including VAT for 3 hours. The price includes all materials.
After creating your artwork, you can take it home to dry for a few days and paint or decorate it after it is dry. Alternatively, you can leave your work to dry at the studio and schedule a follow-up workshop where you will learn various decorating, painting and finishing techniques.
Focused workshop for groups who wish to create specific projects, such as a communal sculpture, mask construction, mirror frames, lamp shade, or even decorating paper-mâché bowls. The duration and price of these customized workshops is determined based on the scope and number of participants. Workshops are aimed for 2 to 9 participants.
Not your average quilts! This is one of my favorite workshops, with fun and surprising new ways to attach and decorate fabrics, to enhance your artistic expression with color, embroidery, buttons, and beads.
Previous experience with hand-sewing needed (no machine-sewing required). The workshop duration is about 3 hours, and it is aimed at 2 to 6 participants.
Price is 300 ILS including VAT per participant. Price includes all materials – fabrics, threads, decorations.
This fun workshop teaches you how to create the puppet as well as learn basic operating techniques for each puppet type.
You can create any of the following puppet types:
- Finger puppets
- Stick puppets
- Sock puppets
- Glove puppets
- Color-shadow puppets
The workshop complexity can be adjusted to suit each participant’s personal skill level, and it includes all necessary materials.
Workshop duration is between 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the type of puppet and by request. Each individual workshop focuses on creating only one type of puppet. The workshop is aimed at 2 to 6 participants.
