Once upon a time, there was a little girl who loved stories and dreams. She also loved to draw, paint, and make dolls. She loved sewing and making necklaces from shiny colorful beads.
This little girl was me. When I grew up I was told that I must choose one art form and master it. I really tried. I mastered childrens book illustration for many years, illustrating more than 150 books and publications, and I loved it very much. But my heart longed for the fun and joy of clay, beads, and threads. When I took the art instructing program at the college for art education in Israel, I fell in love again with the multimedia arts of puppets, dolls, paper mache art, and the love for creative art teaching.
Curios as a cat, I emerged myself in the ever growing world of craft techniques, materials, and technologies. I opened my eyes to what other artists, especially women, create today.
My arts and my teaching are open to new ideas, materials, and techniques. I try to simplify the process, to reduce cost, and recycle. Using my resources of fabric and yarn, all kinds of paper, cardboard, wood scraps, branches and leaves from the garden, and a lot of love and joy of creating.
